Strawberry Trifle

Strawberry Trifle

Strawberry trifle originates from England, where the traditional English trifle has been a popular dessert since at least the 16th century. The earliest trifles were simple, consisting of thick cream flavored with sugar, ginger, and rosewater. Over time, the dessert evolved into a layered dish featuring sponge cake soaked in sherry or fruit juice, custard, fruit (like strawberries), and whipped cream. The addition of strawberries and other fruits became popular as fresh produce became more available, especially during the summer months.
